Global EAC(Energy Attribute Certificate)

Global EAC
(Energy Attribute Certificate)

What are Global EACs?

Energy Attribute Certificates, are tradable instruments that represent the environmental benefits of generating one megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity from renewable sources like wind, solar, and hydro. They are used to track and certify the production of green energy, enabling organizations to claim the use of renewable energy even if their direct energy supply comes from non-renewable sources. By purchasing Energy Attribute Certificates, businesses and individuals can support the global transition to sustainable energy, meet corporate sustainability goals, and reduce their carbon footprint in a verifiable way.

In many regions, I-RECs (International Renewable Energy Certificates), coexist with domestic energy attribute schemes, offering energy consumers greater flexibility. This widely recognized and utilized instrument allows international companies to easily procure and redeem certificates by maintaining a single account across all participating countries.

Through our network of local suppliers, we facilitate access not only to I-RECs but also to various international certificates, including:

  • Clean Energy Certificates (CEL) in Mexico
  • Green Electricity Certificates (GEC) in China
  • North America RECs
  • Large-Scale Generation Certificates (LGC) in Australia
  • Japanese non-fossil certificates (NFC)
  • Tradable Instruments for Global Renewable certificates (TIGRs)
  • Voluntary carbon offsets
